Mel Blanc
Melvin Jerome Blanc (30 Mei 1908 – 10 Julai 1989)[1] merupakan seorang personaliti radio dan pelakon suara dari Amerika Syarikat. Beliau paling dikenali melalui penglibatannya menyuarai banyak watak dari siri filem pendek animasi Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies produksi Warner Bros termasuk Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety Bird, Sylvester the Cat, Yosemite Sam, Foghorn Leghorn, Marvin the Martian, Pepé Le Pew, Speedy Gonzales, Wile E. Coyote, Road Runner, Tasmanian Devil dan sebagainya.

Biografi sunting
Awal hidup sunting
Melvin lahir di San Francisco, California. Beliau merpakan anak bongsu dua adik-beradik,;ibu bapanya Frederick dan Eva Blank merupakan imigran Yahudi dari Rusia.
Setelah Melvin menamatkan persekolahan tingginya pada tahun 1927, beliau melibatkan diri dalam mengetuai sebuah orkestra - di mana beliau merupakan konduktor termuda yang ada di Amerika Syarikat pada ketika itu pada usia 19 tahun.[3]
Kerjaya radio sunting
Mel mula terlibat dalam program radio pada usia 19 tahun pada 1927 dalam rancangan stesen KGW berjudul The Hoot Owls.
Beliau pada 1946, telah muncul sebagai watak pembantu dalam 15 rancangan radio sehingga akhirnya mempunyai programnya sendiri bersama CBS Radio Network berjudul The Mel Blanc Show, yang bersiaran dari 3 September 1946 hingga 24 Jun 1947.
