Bailiwick

usually the area of jurisdiction of a bailiff

A bailiwick (/ˈblɪwɪk/)[1] is the area where a bailiff is in charge. It used to also mean territories where an appointed bailiff did what a sheriff usually does. The bailiff did that under a royal or imperial writ.
