The New International Encyclopedia
The New International Encyclopedia යනු Dodd, Mead and Company මගින් 1902 දී මුල්වරට ප්‍රකාශයට පත් කළ ඇමෙරිකානු විශ්වකෝෂයකි. එය International Cyclopaedia (1884) පාදක කොටගෙන ලියැවුණ අතර 1906, 1914 සහ 1926 වර්ෂ වලදී යාවත්කාලින වීමට ලක්විය.
ඉතිහාසය
සංස්කරණයThe New International Encyclopedia, International Cyclopaedia (1884) හි අනුප්රාප්තිකයා වේ. එය ප්‍රධාන කොටම British Chambers's Encyclopaedia නැවත මුද්‍රණයක් වූ Alden's Library of Universal Knowledge හි නැවත මුද්‍රණයක් විය. 1902 දී ග්‍රන්ථ නාමය The New International Encyclopedia ලෙස වෙනස් වූ අතර Harry Thurston Peck, Daniel Coit Gilman, සහ Frank Moore Colby සංස්කාරකවරු වූහ.[1]
මෙම විශ්වකෝෂය ජනප්‍රිය වූ අතර 1904, 1905, 1907 (නිවැරදි කිරීම් වලට ලක්කොට වෙලුම් 20 ක් දක්වා පුළුල් විය), 1909 සහ 1911 වර්ෂ වලදී නැවත මුද්‍රණය සිදුවිය. දෙවන (2) සංස්කරණය 1914 සිට 1917 දක්වා ප්‍රකාශයට පත්වූ අතර එය වෙළුම් 24 කින් සමන්විත විය. 1923 දී තෙවන සංස්කරණය ප්‍රකාශයට පත් වූ නමුත් මෙම සංස්කරණය ප්‍රධාන වශයෙන්ම නැවත මුද්‍රණයක් විය.[2]
1935 දී Funk & Wagnalls ලේබලය යටතේ අවසාන සංස්කරණය ප්‍රකාශයට පත්විය. මෙම සංස්කරණය සතුව Herbert Treadwell Wade විසින් රචිත යාවත්කාලීන වන අතිරේකයක් පැවතිණ. The New International වෙතින් ගත් සමහර දේ Funk සහ Wagnall ගේ Funk & Wagnalls Standard Encyclopaedia වැනි අනාගත පොත් වල අන්තර්ගත විය.[2]
