രാസസം‌യുക്തം

സ്ത്രീകൾക്കുള്ള ഗർഭനിരോധന ഗുളികകളിൽ ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്ന ഒരു പ്രോജസ്റ്റിൻ മരുന്നാണ് ഡെസോജസ്ട്രൽ.[1][14] ഇംഗ്ലീഷ്:Desogestrel സ്ത്രീകളിലെ ആർത്തവവിരാമ ലക്ഷണങ്ങളെ ചികിത്സിക്കുന്നതിനും ഇത് ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു.[1] മരുന്ന് ലഭ്യമാണ്, ഒറ്റയ്‌ക്കോ[1] ഈസ്ട്രജനുമായി സംയോജിപ്പിച്ചോ[14] ഉപയോഗിക്കുന്നു. വായിലൂടെയാണ് ഇത് എടുക്കേണ്ടത്.[1]

ആർത്തവ ക്രമക്കേടുകൾ, തലവേദന, ഓക്കാനം, സ്തനങ്ങളുടെ ആർദ്രത, മാനസികാവസ്ഥയിലെ മാറ്റങ്ങൾ, മുഖക്കുരു, രോമവളർച്ച വർദ്ധിപ്പിച്ചത് തുടങ്ങിയവ ഡെസോജെസ്ട്രലിന്റെ പാർശ്വഫലങ്ങളിൽ ഉൾപ്പെടുന്നു.[1] ഡെസോജസ്ട്രൽ ഒരു പ്രോജസ്റ്റിൻ അല്ലെങ്കിൽ സിന്തറ്റിക് പ്രോജസ്റ്റോജൻ ആണ്, അതിനാൽ പ്രോജസ്റ്ററോൺ പോലുള്ള പ്രോജസ്റ്റോജനുകളുടെ ജൈവിക ലക്ഷ്യമായ പ്രൊജസ്ട്രോൺ റിസപ്റ്ററിന്റെ അഗോണിസ്റ്റാണ്.[1][14] ഇതിന് വളരെ ദുർബലമായ ആൻഡ്രോജനിക്, ഗ്ലൂക്കോകോർട്ടിക്കോയിഡ് പ്രവർത്തനം ഉണ്ട്, മറ്റ് പ്രധാന ഹോർമോൺ പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളൊന്നുമില്ല. ശരീരത്തിലെ എറ്റോനോജെസ്ട്രലിന്റെ (3-കെറ്റോഡെസോജസ്ട്രൽ) ഒരു പ്രോഡ്രഗാണ് മരുന്ന്.[1][14]
