El premio Grammy a la canción del año es un galardón otorgado por la Academia Nacional de Artes y Ciencias de la Grabación de los Estados Unidos. Es uno de los cuatro premios Grammy más prestigiosos —junto con el de álbum del año, grabación del año y mejor artista nuevo— presentado anualmente desde la 1.ª edición de los Premios Grammy en 1959.

El premio se otorga al compositor de la canción; el intérprete recibe el premio sólo si también participó en la composición. Si una canción ganadora contiene muestras o interpolaciones de material existente, el editor y el compositor de la canción original pueden solicitar un «certificado de ganador».
