Ladytron info?

edit

I'm not sure who has changed something on the Ladytron article but I'm trying to track the person down by contacting anyone in the history who has a talk page. Previously the Ladytron entry on Wikipedia has accurately credited Ladytron's first singer, Lisa Eriksson, on their first single "He Took Her To A Movie." But this credit has been deleted multiple times from both the 'Singles' section and the 'Background' section. The information is factual and verifiable. The 2004 repress of 604 released by Emperor Norton Records correctly attributes this vocal performance. Do you know how this information can be saved from editorial omission? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.183.225.245 (talk) 17:00, 9 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello. I am a new Wikipedia user. You have a nice layout on your page, so if my post bothers you, please delete it. I am asking you to take a look at the page for paroxetine. I feel the warnings about "controversy" should not be in the opening paragraph, as it is alarmist. I feel that scientific studies carry more weight than a BBC report which compares the "addictive" nature paroxetine to cocaine. Thanks, 161.150.2.55 (talk) 17:07, 13 January 2009 (UTC)MwallaReply

File:Wiki5.png missing description details

edit
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Wiki5.png is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 22:29, 6 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:3-aminoisobutyrate.png

edit

A tag has been placed on File:3-aminoisobutyrate.png, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

A 3D model is not a "Simple structural formula". Does not automatically meet public domain criteria. If this image was modeled by yourself, please consider updating the copyright.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Bananas21ca (talk) 21:03, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:3-aminoisobutyrate.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:3-aminoisobutyrate.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. File:Wiki5.png needs authorship information.

edit
Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Wiki5.png appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source),or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the mediaclearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided),authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which:{{subst:usernameexpand|CrazyChemGuy}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.
  • If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 14:34, 25 November 2011 (UTC)Reply

The Wikipedia Library now offering accounts from Cochrane Collaboration (sign up!)

edit

Cochrane Collaboration is an independent medical nonprofit organization consisting of over 28,000 volunteers in more than 100 countries. The collaboration was formed to organize medical scholarship in a systematic way in the interests of evidence-based research: the group conducts systematic reviews of randomized controlled trials of health-care interventions, which it then publishes in the Cochrane Library.

Cochrane has generously agreed to give free, full-access accounts to 100 medical editors. Individual access would otherwise cost between $300 and $800 per account. Thank you Cochrane!

If you are stil active as a medical editor, come and sign up :)

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
