While Zidane is clearly notable for a number of things and has a long and storied career, the headbutting of Materazzi was an international incident that made him a pop culture icon well beyond the world of professional football, and is likely the only thing he is known for to many people across the world. This incident is seemingly purposefully buried in the middle of a paragraph relating various career highlights in the overview, and then again buried in the middle of a recap of his overall contributions to the 2006 world cup. The pop culture reference section is the only place where it's properly highlighted, which is confusing since the rest of the page greatly downplays it. Considering its notoriety, the incident should be given its own section in the article, complete with a header. Fans of the man may not enjoy that this one incident tends to overshadow his accomplishments as a player or coach, but the current framing of the incident in the article borders on dishonest image management.Lurdiak (talk) 19:47, 25 July 2022 (UTC)Reply
change Zinedine Yazid Zidane (born 23 June 1972), popularly known as Zizou, is a French former professional football player who played as an attacking midfielder. He most recently coached Spanish club Real Madrid and is one of the most successful coaches in the world. Also widely regarded as one of the greatest players of all time, Zidane was a playmaker renowned for his elegance, vision, passing, ball control, and technique.[1] He received many individual accolades as a player, including being named FIFA World Player of the Year in 1998, 2000, and 2003, and winning the 1998 Ballon d'Or. toZinedine Yazid Zidane (born 23 June 1972), popularly known as Zizou, is a French former professional football player who played as an attacking midfielder. Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. – AssumeGoodWraith (talk | contribs) 08:58, 29 November 2021 (UTC)Reply

Please add to Zizou’s “Honors” Section that he won the Ballon d’Or as a player in 1998. Currently, it only says that he won the bronze in 1997. 50.102.5.243 (talk) 21:25, 4 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Change the point in the Honors section, "FourFourTwo's 100 best football players of all time #5: 2022" to #6 (as per the article). 2602:FF65:AAA:B004:0:0:0:21D6 (talk) 04:15, 3 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
Not done: The source actually claims they are #8, which another editor appears to have corrected. —Sirdog(talk) 00:04, 5 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
