Conclusion

edit

Why is there a conclusion? It sounds like it was copied verbatim from a research article. I am removing it for now. Isopropyl (talk) 20:54, 18 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

SaG Intro

edit

Can you please include "fungi" in the sentence "SAgs can be produced by pathogenic Microbes (including viruses, mycoplasma, and bacteria)[1] as a defense..." based upon an experiment by Yale in 2008 entitled "Superantigen-Like Effects of a Candida albicans Polypeptide" found at http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=2408734. I apologize for not being well versed in wiki maintenace or etiquette. (Druid bremen (talk) 04:16, 27 August 2009 (UTC))Reply

A citation for the 20% of T-cells number can be found in Janeway's Immunobiology. In the 7th edition, it's on page 207. Not knowing very much about adding citations to Wikipedia, I didn't try to add it. Someone more knowledgeable of the format is more than welcome to. -CMS — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.88.248.63 (talk) 14:32, 24 October 2011 (UTC)Reply

TCR Complex Image

edit

I replaced the image of the TCR complex with a higher resolution image that I think is a little bit more clear. Anriar (talk) 04:02, 20 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Role of SAg binding to CD28 in T-cell stimulation

edit

Recent work has shown that bacterial SAgs are capable of binding CD28, which appears to play a crucial role in inducing the TC cytokine response. See here for a primer on the findings: http://www.plosbiology.org/article/info%3Adoi%2F10.1371%2Fjournal.pbio.1001145.

Do you think this should be included in the article?
