Shaws has always taken decent care of their full-time employees. But to be perfectly honest, they treat their part-timers like crap. The part-time workers at shaws seriously do most of the work and get paid minimum wage. It was the worst job of my life, and not even worth the small paychecks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 38.19.142.70 (talk) 03:21, 24 August 2011 (UTC)Reply

Nowhere in this article is there a mention of why Shaw's had so many store closings. Apparently, it had (and still might have) the among highest prices of any supermarket chain the Boston area. Bostoner (talk) 22:22, 18 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
I shop at Star, Stop & Shop, and Hannaford. There are some items with higher prices at Shaw's and Star, but I don't find it to be across the board. There are also items that are always way cheaper, like eggs. If there is a source that compares the chains that could be helpful, but that would be the opinion of the author and depend on what items they were comparing.
