Humble Petition to Militant Action

edit

I propose to add the following

In 1980, the CPSA published a history of its first 75 years. [n]
^. Eric Wigham From Humble Petition to Militant Action ISBN 0 9041411 05 Parameter error in {{ISBN}}: checksum 1

Any one object?

I am unclear as to the etiquette in quoting or summarising a single source. Anyone want to advise?

The law and national officers

edit

Given the frequent interventions by the courts in the process of appointing both full time and elected officials from the 1970's onwards it seems a bit odd that the only reference is to the 1986 GS elections. Depending on the answer to my question above I might write a piece for the page on the Lever, Losinka, Coltman law cases and elections. This should probably end with a bit about the transition from conference delegate votes to individual balloting, and maybe the influence of the Thatcher Govt's trade union reforms which may have encouraged the adoption of election rather than appointment of the GS. Provided it is verifiable then go ahead. -- KenBailey (talk) 08:15, 16 September 2012 (UTC)Reply
