Shanola Hampton

Shanola Hampton is an American actress. She is best known for her role as Veronica Fisher on Showtime dramedy Shameless, Gabi Mosely in the NBC drama series Found, and as the face model of Rochelle in the video game Left 4 Dead 2.

Acting career

2000–2010: Early career

Hampton played a part in "The Gift", a musical at Tiffany Theater in Hollywood in 2000.[6]

Hampton appeared in several television series, such as Shameless, Reba, Popular, Scrubs, Criminal Minds, Related, and Miami Medical. She has also had roles in the movies: The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green,[7] The Hanged Man,[3] Christmas in the City, and You Again.[8]

She was the face model for Rochelle in the video game Left 4 Dead 2.[9]

2011–present

In Summer 2010, Hampton was cast as a series regular on the Showtime dramedy Shameless as Veronica Fisher, a role for which she has received critical acclaim.[10][11][12]

In 2013, Hampton co-starred in the movie Things Never Said.[13] Hampton played a woman who tries to find the strength to leave her physically abusive husband.[14] The movie was part of the Annual American Black Film Festival,[15] the North Carolina Black Film Festival,[16] Roxbury International Film Festival,[17] the Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival,[14] the Black Star Film Festival,[18] and the Laguna Film Festival.[19] She signed a deal with NBCUniversal via Universal Television more recently.[20]

Hampton stars in the lead role in the current NBC television series Found, along with serving as a producer.[21]

Personal life

Hampton was born in Long Island, New York, where she lived until the age of four, then raised in Summerville, South Carolina.[1][2] Hampton attended Summerville High School.[22] She graduated from Winthrop University[3] with a degree in theater. While studying acting at the University of Illinois at Urbana–Champaign, Hampton worked at Goose Island Brewery in Wrigleyville.[4] Hampton earned a Masters of Fine Arts in acting.[4]

She has been married to Daren Dukes since March 2000.[23][24] The couple have a daughter named Cai MyAnna Dukes (born January 2014)[23] and a son named Daren O.C. Dukes (born May 2016).[25][26]
