How to Make Ribbon Leis

Whether you're making a ribbon lei to celebrate a special occasion or just for fun, the process is simple if you have a little time. Use two different colors of ribbon to form loops, taking turns putting one loop through the other before tightening the ribbon. For the best looking leis, be careful not to pull your ribbon too tight or too loose after each loop, tightening it just enough so it's laying flat. Snip off the extra ribbon length using scissors if desired. Once your final knot is tied, cut off the ends of the ribbon so that they’re short and even.
