You can only really clean the potato starch mud. To do this, put the mud in a jar and add water to the jar. Shake the jar and leave it to sit for a couple of minutes. The mud will settle at the bottom and all the dirt and water will be on top. Pour the water out quickly, and it will take most of the dirt with it.
