  • Question
What can you use in place of a double boiler/steamer?
    How.com.vn English: Community Answer
    Community Answer
You can use a colander, or you can use a pot with a glass bowl on top. It really depends on what you are doing. If you are making sauce or melting things, the glass bowl works well. Anything with vegetables or cooking actual things is better off with a pot and a small colander or maybe even a sifter. For more help, see the How.com.vn How to Make a Double Boiler.
