How to Knit a Dishcloth

Knit dishcloths are so useful for keeping your kitchen clean! Replace your sponges and paper towels with reusable dishcloths to save money and reduce waste. Make a slipknot with a strand of chunky or super bulky cotton yarn. Wrap the yarn around your index and middle finger 2 times. Then, pull the first loop through the second loop. You don't. This pattern is worked flat. There are other patterns worked in the round but most dishcloths are flat, not round. On the other hand, if you want to use this stitch for that, work each round reversing every even row. In other words, work row 1 as listed and join. Row/round 2 would be P3, P2, (K3, P3) 4 times, K3, P1, P3. Work row/round 3 as written and for Row/round 4 - P3, (K3, P3) 5 times, P3. Etc.
