Simple workarounds to turn off commenting on Instagram Live
Download Article

Have you ever watched a Live on Instagram that's cluttered with comments? There used to be a way for viewers to hide comments, but Instagram has removed that feature. Unfortunately, there's no way for a viewer to de-clutter their screen and make comments invisible like you can on TikTok. Instead, the person hosting the Live can turn off commenting. This How.com.vn article shows you how to turn off commenting on an Instagram Live.

Things You Should Know

  • While you can't hide comments from other people as a viewer, there are steps the host can take to make comments invisible.
  • Hosts can turn off commenting to provide a clutter-free Live by tapping the tree-dot menu in the comment box and tapping "Turn off commenting."
  • You can turn on the auto-mod settings to hide offensive words and phrases in settings on all your Instagram content.
