How to Fill a Pez Dispenser

Do you still have a full roll of Pez in your possession, and now that the devices are not widely available, don't remember how to put them into your Pez machine? Let this article refresh your memory on how to complete this process.

Things You Should Know

Lay the Pez dispenser face-up on the table. Pull the head with your thumb and forefinger to slide out the dispenser tray.
Insert a piece of Pez candy vertically into the dispenser tray. Continue inserting candies vertically until the tray is completely filled up.
Push the dispenser tray back in and stand the Pez dispenser upright.
Use your thumb to push the head backwards and dispense a piece of candy. Pull the candy out of the dispenser and let the head retract.

If you don't have one at your location, some more traditional and non super-stores sell refill packs for your device.

This should make the dispenser tray slide out. Stop pushing when the tray stops moving and until it will click into place.
When inserting the candy, Always stick the candy into the dispenser vertically, never horizontally, as the candy dispenser will cause the candy to break upon significant pressure, if done horizontally.
Do not allow the tray to stand up yet.
Stop pushing when the device stops, otherwise you will crush any and all of the remaining candies in the device. If done hard enough, the device will break too!

Use the Pez dispenser. Stand the dispenser up and bend the head backwards using your thumb (as if bending it's neck forcefully backwards). A tiny bracket will push one Pez candy out so you can grab the edge of the candy. Pull the candy out and let the head retract. Repeat for additional candies.

Tips

Don't allow the pieces to fall over on their sides, after sticking them into the dispenser (a big beginner's mistake)! Doing so, can cause the device to be loaded incorrectly, thereby making the piece break and cause the machine to jam up.
