      Tips

      • Many laptops do not have an available RCA video output. Instead, they have a VGA output that requires a VGA cable. Some televisions have VGA inputs, others require a VGA to RCA video adapter. Both the male VGA-to-VGA and the male VGA-to-RCA are available at most electronics specialty stores or on the internet.
      • If the screen resolution is not right for the TV, you can change the screen resolution of your laptop by right clicking on your desktop, and selecting Properties. Click on the Settings tab. You should see a slider near the bottom left of the window named Screen Resolution. Move the slider to the setting of your choice, click Apply and then OK at the prompt.
