   Trim your pubic hair to ¼ in (0.6 cm) long, then wash your bikini area. Depilatory, or hair removal, creams work best on short hair. Just sit in a comfortable position and hold a hand mirror to see your pubic hair. Then, cut your pubic hair ¼ to ½ in (0.6-1.3 cm) long with a clean pair of nail or mustache scissors. Wash your bikini area with soap and water and then pat it dry.

   • Sit on paper towels or a bath towel to catch the excess hair as you cut.
   • Patch test a small area of skin with Veet 24 hours before you use it. If your skin gets irritated or you develop an allergic reaction, do not use Veet.
   • Exfoliate your bikini area with a sugar scrub or exfoliating glove 24 hours before you use the cream. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells and reduces your risk of ingrown hairs.

   Warning: Do not use Veet hair removal cream on your bikini area if you have open cuts, scars, or sunburned or irritated skin. Also avoid using it if you have a skin condition like rosacea, eczema, or psoriasis.

Whether you’re cleaning up your bikini line or going entirely bare, squeeze the Veet onto the tip of the applicator that came with the cream. Then, smooth it over all of the pubic hair you want to remove. If your cream didn’t come with an applicator, just slather on the cream with your fingers, making sure not to rub it in.

   • Read your product’s label to verify that it’s safe to use on your bikini area. Veet has different types of depilatory creams for different parts of your body.
   • Do not place the cream on your genitals. This can cause an adverse reaction as this area is extremely sensitive.
   • If you have sensitive skin, use Veet Cream for Sensitive Skin. This cream is only recommended for use on your bikini line.
   • Wash your hands when you’re done applying the cream.

   Wipe away a small area of cream after 2 minutes. Check to see if your hair comes off easily after leaving the cream on for 2 minutes. Just take a damp washcloth to wipe away a small spot of cream. If your hair comes off with the Veet, wipe off the rest of the cream. If your hair still isn’t budging, let the cream sit for 1 more minute, then check it again.

   • Check the cream every 1 minute until you reach the maximum amount of time that you can leave it on your skin according to the label directions.

Simply set a timer to make sure that you don’t leave the cream on for longer than 6 minutes, even if your hair isn’t coming off.    • Check the label on your product to verify how long to leave it on your skin.

   Variation: If you’re using Veet cream for sensitive skin, let it sit for up to 10 minutes.

   Use a washcloth to wipe the cream and hair off your skin. Place a dry washcloth over your palm. Then, slowly wipe the cream off your body, moving in an upward direction toward your waist. Just make several swipes to remove all of the Veet and your pubic hair.

   • If you’re removing the cream in the shower, rinse off the washcloth between swipes. If you trimmed your pubic hair, this shouldn’t clog up your drain.
   • If you don’t want to rinse off your washcloth in the shower or sink, get a new washcloth when the first gets covered with Veet and hair.

   Rinse your bikini area with warm water and pat it dry. To remove all of the Veet residue from your skin, splash warm water over the entire area where you applied the cream. Just use nail or mustache scissors to cut and a hand mirror to help you see. Then, wash your bikini area with soap and warm water and dry it off with a towel.

   • Wax strips can’t grasp hair that’s shorter than ¼ in (0.6 cm) long.
   • Patch test and exfoliate your skin 24 hours before using Veet wax strips.

   Lay out a towel and sit on it with your legs spread open. To prevent sticky wax and pieces of hair from dirtying your floor, spread out a clean bath or beach towel that you don’t mind getting dirty. Then, sit in the center of the towel and spread your legs open so you can see your entire bikini area.

   • Use a hand mirror to help you see your bikini area more easily.
   • Adjust your position while you work to ensure you stay comfortable and can see the area you’re waxing.

   • It’s normal to feel some slight stinging when you rip off the strip. This is because the wax is removing your hair at the root, which is just below your skin.

   Continue applying wax strips until your entire bikini area is hair-free. Apply a new strip to the area next to the spot you just waxed. Rip off that strip and then move to the next hairy spot. Simply work your way over your bikini area until all of the hair you want removed is gone. Just avoid waxing the same spot twice, as you can irritate or damage your skin.

   • Cut the strips into smaller shapes that better contour your body to wax hard-to-reach areas.
   • If your wax strip is still sticky and not full of hair, reuse it 2 to 3 more times.
