   Tap Discord – Chat for Gamers. This opens the Discord page in the Play Store.

Logging in to Discord

   Enter your email address and Discord password. This is the email address and password you used to sign up for Discord.

Sending Direct Messages

   Tap All. It’s at the top of the screen. This displays a list of all of your Discord contacts.

   • To see a list of people who are online now, tap Online instead.

   Tap a friend’s name. This opens your friend’s profile.

   Tap the messaging icon. It’s the round blue button with two white chat bubbles inside. Now you’ll see a chat window.

   Type a message. To start typing, tap the typing area (it says “Message @[friend’s name]”) to launch the keyboard.

   Tap the send button. It’s the gray paper airplane at the bottom-right corner of the screen. The message now appears in the conversation.

   • To share a link to a website, copy the URL to the site (tap and hold the address, then tap Copy), then paste it into the typing area (tap and hold the typing area, then tap Paste).
   • To send an image or video, tap + at the bottom-left corner of the screen, then select a file. If prompted, grant the app permission to access your files.

Joining a Server

   Find a server to join. If you already know the URL of the server you want to join, you can skip this step. Otherwise, you can browse public Discord server lists on sites like https://www.discordservers.com or https://www.discord.me.

   Copy the server’s invitation URL. To copy a URL, highlight the text with your finger, tap and hold it until you see the Copy option, then tap Copy.

   • To adjust the way voice chat works, tap Voice Settings at the bottom of the screen.

   • Select your region.

  Assuming you are talking about the new version with writing saying "I'm not a robot" (which is the one Discord and many new web apps like it use), simply click the box. If prompted, complete the tasks it shows you, then click verify. When you see the tick, you've completed the captcha and can carry on.

  Discord for Android and iOS do not support this feature, only the full PC versions do. To enable this function on PC, go to User Settings->Overlay and make sure "Enable in-game overlay" is on (the slider is to the right).

  Just tap on the voice chat you want to join (in the channel list), and you should connect. Make sure you're not trying to go on one with a padlock icon, as you don't have permissions to join that one.
