Canva is a wonderful program for designing almost anything: cards, presentations, YouTube videos and more! If you can think of it, Canva can make it. Although Canva has a large selection of public domain images to use in projects, sometimes the only picture that works is one you took yourself. If that’s the case, don’t fret: this article will explain how to upload any of your own images into a Canva project/design.
Steps
- 1Open your project by either tapping or clicking on it.
- 2Click the “uploads” button. You’ll find it near the middle of the elements menu, which is on the very left side of the screen. It looks like a cloud with an arrow in the middle.Advertisement
- 3Click “Upload Files.” This is a bright purple button right underneath the image search bar.
- 4Choose the photo library option at the top of the menu that pops up. It is the first of three options. This will take you to your camera roll and allow you to choose images to upload into your project.
- 5Select the image(s) you want to import by clicking or tapping on them. You can select multiple images at a time.
- “Holding and dragging” your mouse will let you select multiple pictures at the same time instead of clicking each one individually.
- 6Click “Add” at the top right of the photo library pop up. The word appears in bright blue after you’ve selected at least one image. This will import your image into Canva's side menu where all the other elements of design are located.
- 7Click on the image you just uploaded. This will add your picture to your project. Now you can crop, filter, move, etc. the image until it looks exactly like you want it to.
- 8Finished.Advertisement
