   Download and install App Cleaner & Uninstaller. It's available for free in the App Store. It's the app that has a blue icon with two triangles. To install the app:

   • Open the App Store.
   • Type App Cleaner in the search bar.
   • Click App Cleaner & Uninstaller.
   • Click Get.
   • Click Install App.

   Open App Cleaner & Uninstaller. You can open it by double-clicking its icon in the Applications folder, or by clicking Open in the App Store if you just finished installing it. App Cleaner & Uninstaller will start scanning your apps automatically when first opened.

   Click the R tab. It's near the top of the left-side column. This opens the Remains tab and searches for files left over from old applications.

   Check the box for "com.cleanmymac". If there are any leftover files from CleanMyMac, they will be listed in the Remains tab in the column on the right. Click the checkbox for any applicable file entries.

   • Make sure all residual files are checked in the column to the left.
