How to Type a Rupee Symbol on iPhone or iPad

This How.com.vn teaches you how to type the Indian rupee (₹) symbol with your iPhone or iPad’s keyboard.

Steps

  1. How.com.vn English: Step 1 Open your iPhone or iPad’s Settings icon.
    You’ll usually find it on the home screen.
  2. How.com.vn English: Step 2 Scroll down and tap General.
  3. How.com.vn English: Step 3 Scroll down and tap Keyboard.
  4. How.com.vn English: Step 4 Tap Keyboards.
    It’s at the top of the screen. You’ll see your active keyboards at the top of the screen.
  5. How.com.vn English: Step 5 Tap Add New Keyboard….
  6. How.com.vn English: Step 6 Scroll down and tap English (India).
    This keyboard language is now added to your active keyboard list.
  7. How.com.vn English: Step 7 Press the Home button.
    This brings you back to the home screen.
  8. How.com.vn English: Step 8 Open the app in which you want to type the rupee symbol.
  9. How.com.vn English: Step 9 Tap the typing area.
    This opens the keyboard.
  10. How.com.vn English: Step 10 Tap and hold the globe key.
    It’s in the bottom row of the keyboard. A list of keyboards will expand.
  11. How.com.vn English: Step 11 Tap English (India).
    This switches the keyboard.
  12. How.com.vn English: Step 12 Tap the 123 key.
    It’s at the bottom-left corner of the keyboard. This switches to the numerical keyboard.
  13. How.com.vn English: Step 13 Tap the ₹ key.
    It’s in the row of symbol keys beneath the numbers. The rupee symbol now appears in the typing area.
