Using the Messages App
Press the Digital Crown to go to the apps screen. Navigate to the iMessage app. It looks like a white speech bubble with a green background. Click on it to open it.- If your apps are in list view, then the messages app will be called "Messages" and in the 'M' section.
Open the conversation you would like to send a message in. If you already have one open, then select that.- If you don't have a conversation started already, select New Message. From there, you can do a few different things.

Select one of the preset messages. (You can always change these in settings). To do this:- Use your finger to scroll through the 5-10 preset messages.
- Once you find one you like, select it. It will automatically send to the person you are texting.
Click Create a Message if you don't want to use the preset messages. There are multiple directions you can go in from here. You can:- Record a voice message. To do this, select the Microphone icon and use your voice to send a message. Make your voice clear, so the person you are texting can understand what you are saying.
- Type a message. To do this, use your finger to click on the letters and type your text. If you have anything besides the Apple Watch 7, though, you will have to draw your message.

Using Siri
Press and hold the Digital Crown or say "Hey Siri!" to summon Siri. If you have the Apple Watch Series 3 or higher, raise the Apple Watch to your mouth to speak.
Start off by saying "Send Message to (person's name)" or "Text (person's name)". She will reply with "What's the message?".- Make sure to use the person's first and last name.
- If they are not in your contacts, she will say "I don't see a (person's name) in your contacts." If this happens, try texting with iMessage, where you can use the keypad.
Tell Siri what your message is. She will then send that message to the person you told her to text.- Speak clearly. If Siri gets your message wrong, you will have to start over.
