How to Sync a PS4 Controller on Android

Your PS4 controller isn't just for playing PS4 games, you can pair it with other devices such as your computer or android phone. This How.com.vn teaches you how to pair your PS4 controller with your Android phone, but not all apps support third-party controllers. Check the controller settings in the options menu for any games you want to use the PS4 controller with.

It's the app that resembles a gear or slider bars, depending on what theme you are using.
  2. How.com.vn English: Step 2 Tap Connected Devices.
It's the first option in the Settings menu.
    • On some devices, this will option may be labeled "Connections" instead.
  3. How.com.vn English: Step 3 Tap Bluetooth.
It's the second option in the connections menu. This will display all your paired Bluetooth devices. It will also start automatically scanning for new devices.
  4. How.com.vn English: Step 4 Press and hold the 'PS' and 'Share' buttons on the PS4 controller.
The PS button is a circular button with the PlayStation logo on it in the center of the controller. The Share button is to the left of the touchpad in the center. The lightbar will start blinking twice repeatedly. This indicates that the PS4 controller is in pairing mode.

  5. How.com.vn English: Step 5 Tap Scan on your Android phone.
It's in the upper-right corner of the screen. Your phone will start scanning for nearby Bluetooth devices. If you don't see the Scan button it's most likely because it's already doing an automatic scan.
    • Look for "Wireless Controller" to appear in the "Available Devices" list.
  6. How.com.vn English: Step 6 Tap Wireless Controller on your Android device.
This is the PS4 controller. It will take a few moments for them to pair. When it says "Connected" below the Wireless controller, your PS4 controller is paired with your Android device. It may take a few tries before the PS4 controller successfully pairs with your Android device.
    • To reconnect your PS4 controller back to your PS4, simply connect the PS4 controller to the PS4 game console using a mini-USB cord and then press the PS button.
