Have you ever visited the AcronymFinder website and found a definition not be included that you know is true to the best of your knowledge? Try suggesting the new definition to the team. The steps to get you to the right place are included in this article.
Steps
- Open your web browser.
Visit the AcronymFinder website.Advertisement- Search for the term. You can either type your search in the search bar near the top of the screen, or you can narrow the search by clicking the corresponding range areas until you locate the acronym that you want to suggest the definition for.
Click the "Suggest new definition" link that appears on the screen. The placement of this link varies from acronyms that only have one definition to that of acronyms that have more than one). Some are over in the right column, and the proceeding are underneath the full list of definitions.
Click into the Definition box.
Type your suggested acronym definition. Use the proper capitalization as all associated words being capitalized.
Fill out the remainder of the form, including your email address (preferred), category.
Fill out the "other remarks" section only when it is found pertinent that the acronym can only be found at a few places or you need to specify something about the acronym to the team that they didn't know existed.- Click the "Submit" button when the form is filled out.
