Sharing a Venmo link is thankfully a simple process, and there are multiple ways to share your account with someone else so they can pay you or you can pay them. Keep reading to learn three easy ways to safely share your Venmo link with someone else on an Android, iPhone, or iPad.

Steps
Open the Venmo app. QR codes are essentially links in image form. The recipient will use their camera app to scan the QR code, which will direct them to your Venmo account in this case. Venmo calls these codes Venmo me QR codes.[1]

Select the QR code button next to your profile picture. The button looks like four black-and-white squares arranged in a 2x2 formation.
Scroll to the Venmo me tab. The app may automatically open on that tab if you access your QR code via your profile.
Tap the share button underneath the QR code. The share button looks like a bracket with an arrow coming out of it.
Copy the code and send it. You can send the link directly from the popup that appears after you tap Share, or you can copy it and paste it wherever you want.
Open the Venmo app. If you aren't interested in using a QR code, you can create a Venmo link. There is currently no way to copy your Venmo link from your profile, but the instructions below will teach you how to make your own Venmo URL.
Tap the Me icon in the bottom right corner.
Look for your user ID in the upper right-hand corner. It should begin with an @ sign.
Fill your user ID into "https://venmo.com/{username}". In the URL, remove {username} and put your user ID without the @ symbol.
Send the link. You can share this link via text, direct message, or even paste it into account bios.- If you decide to use this URL, anyone who wants to pay you will have to either sign in to Venmo or create an account.
Open the Venmo app. If you add a friend on Venmo, you can share money back and forth. This isn't the same as sending a traditional URL or QR code, but it does allow you to send or receive money with someone.[2]- If you will be sending or receiving money from the same person often, adding them as a friend may be more convenient than opening a link.
Search by name or username via the search bar at the top of the screen. You will need either their user ID or the name they have on their Venmo account to find them.- If your friend has a common name, searching by user ID is the safest way to ensure you find the right person.
