This How.com.vn teaches you how to send a text message in WhatsApp. You can do this on both iPhone and Android. As long as your recipient has WhatsApp installed and has access to Wi-Fi, they will be able to receive and respond to your text messages from anywhere in the world.
Steps
On iPhone
- Open WhatsApp. Tap the WhatsApp app icon, which is green with a white speech bubble and phone outline on it.
- Use the iPhone App Store to download WhatsApp if you don't have it yet.
- Tap Chats. It's the speech bubble-shaped icon at the bottom of the screen. This will open the Chats page, where you can view your current chats.
- If WhatsApp opens to a chat, tap < in the top-left corner of the screen to get to the Chats page.
- Tap the "New Chat" icon. This icon resembles a pencil on a sheet of paper. It's in the top-right corner of the screen.
- You can also open an existing chat by tapping it. If you do this, skip the next step.
- Tap a contact's name. Doing so opens a new chat with that contact.
- You can also tap New Group at the top of the page to create a new group, or you can tap New Contact to add a contact's phone number.
- Enter a text message. Type your message into the text field at the bottom of the screen.
- You can also upload a photo by tapping the camera icon and then selecting a photo from your iPhone's camera roll.

- Open WhatsApp. Tap the WhatsApp app icon, which is a green-and-white speech bubble with a phone outline in it.
- Use your Android's Google Play Store to download WhatsApp if you don't have it yet.
- Tap CHATS. This tab is at the top of the screen. Doing so opens the Chats page.
- If WhatsApp opens to a chat conversation, tap the "Back" button in the top-left corner of the screen to get to the Chats page.
- Tap the "New Chat" icon. It's a speech bubble-shaped icon near the top-right corner of the screen, directly to the left of the ⋮ icon.
- On some Android tablets and smartphones, the "New Chat" icon is in the bottom-right corner of the screen.

- Select a contact. Tap a contact's name to start a new chat with them.
- You can also tap New group near the top of the page to start a new group chat, or tap the person silhouette icon near the top-right side of the screen to add a new contact.

- You can also add a photo by tapping the camera icon in the right side of the text field and then selecting a photo from your Android's camera roll.
