Sending Attachments in Gmail

  1. How.com.vn English: Step 1 Open Gmail on your Android.
    It's the red and white envelope icon that's usually on the home screen. It may also look like a multicolored M.
  2. How.com.vn English: Step 2 Tap the New Message icon.
    It’s the red circle with a white pen at the bottom-right corner of Gmail.
    • You can also attach files in a reply to an existing message. Tap the message you want to respond to, then tap Reply now.

    It’s near the top-right corner of the screen.
  4. How.com.vn English: Step 4 Tap Attach file.
    This opens the file selection screen.
    • If you want to send a file that’s on your Google Drive, select Insert from Drive instead.
  5. How.com.vn English: Step 5 Select the file you want to attach.
    If it’s inside a folder, open the folder, then tap the file.
  6. How.com.vn English: Step 6 Tap Select.
    It’s at the bottom-right corner of the screen. This attaches the file to the message.

    If you’re replying to an existing message you can skip this step.

    If replying to an existing message, you don’t have to edit the subject.

    It’s at the top-right corner of the screen. The message and its attachment will be delivered to the recipient.

Sending Attachments in Outlook

  1. How.com.vn English: Step 1 Open Outlook on your Android.
    It’s the blue and white folder icon with an “o” on its cover. You’ll usually find it on the home screen or in the app drawer.
  2. How.com.vn English: Step 2 Tap the New Message icon.
    It’s the blue circle with a white pen at the bottom-right corner of Outlook.
    • You can also attach files in a reply to an existing message. Tap the message you want to respond to, then tap the reply button.

    It’s near the bottom-right corner of the message.
  4. How.com.vn English: Step 4 Select the location of the file you want to attach.
    If the file is saved to your Android’s internal memory or SD card select Choose from Files.
    • If you’re attaching a photo, select Choose from Photos to open your gallery.
  5. How.com.vn English: Step 5 Tap the file.
    This attaches the file to the message.
  6. How.com.vn English: Step 6 Type the recipient’s email address into the “To” field.
    If you’re replying to an existing message you can skip this step.
