Steps
- Scroll down and tap About phone. It's at the very bottom of the Settings page.
- On tablets, you'll tap About device here instead.
- Scroll down to the "Build number" heading. This option is at the bottom of the About Device page.
- Tap the "Build number" heading seven times. Once you see a message that says "You are now a developer!" pop up, you have successfully enabled developer options.
- You may have to tap more than seven times to get the confirmation message.

- Tap Running services. This option is near the top of the page. Doing so will open a list of your currently running apps and services. This may also be called "Process stats."[1]
- Tap a currently running app or service to view more information about it, such as memory usage and time running. You can force stop an app from this menu as well.

Community Q&A
- QuestionHow do I know which ones I need and which ones I can stop?Community AnswerThere are two classes: system and apps. System are the ones the phone usually needs to perform its routine services. You can stop it and can restrict them, but can't uninstall. If uncertain, you should Google the names of services to see what they are before attempting stopping. As far as apps, these will typically not cause any impact to the way your phone runs, and can be stopped/disabled/uninstalled.
- QuestionWhat do I do if a battery won't stay charged?Community AnswerYou could always buy a new battery, or a new charger. You could also try completely powering down your device and then charging it while it is turned off.
- QuestionWhat apps should I stop running?Community AnswerApps that you are not using at the time. Try not to force stop anything that looks like it's important to your android device (ex. Android.Start.Cell).
