How to Save an iMovie Project on iPhone or iPad

This How.com.vn teaches you how to save an iMovie project for iPhone and iPad. There are a few ways to save an iMovie project. When you tap "Done" it saves your progress. To export the project as a video file, tap the share icon and then save the video.

Steps

  1. How.com.vn English: Step 1 Open iMovie.
    It's the app that has a purple icon with a white star.
  2. How.com.vn English: Step 2 Open an existing project or create a new one.
    Your projects are listed under the "Projects" tab. If you don't have any projects, tap box with a large box with the "+" sign to create a new sign.

    When you are finished editing your project, tap "Done" in the upper-left corner. This will save your iMovie project.

    The title is the large text below the movie playback box. By default, the movie will be titled "My Movie".

    Type whatever title you want to name your iMovie project.

    Lower quality videos don't look as good but don't take up as much space on your iPhone or iPad. After you select the video quality, the video will be exported to your camera roll. Select one of the following:
    • Medium - 360p for 360 pixel resolution.
    • Large - 540p for 540 pixel resolution.
    • HD - 720p for 720 pixel high definition resolution.
    • HD - 1080p for 1080 pixel high definition resolution.
