How to Program Crystals

When you program a crystal, you’ll create a powerful tool for yourself. It doesn't take computer science or advanced magic, either. All you need is a vision and a desire to accomplish your goals. Programming a crystal attunes it to your heart and desires. Essentially, you "program," or activate, a crystal of your choice when you align it with yourself and your spiritual journey. You can infuse the crystal with your own intentions, which are reflected back to you. When you set an intention and infuse your crystal with it, you can think of this as the "code" the crystal uses. When you set an intention and find a crystal that's aligned with it, you can program your mystical stone to enhance your spells, rituals, and meditations. When you'd like to charge it with traits of the Moon—for example, sensitivity or intuition—set it down in a spot that gets plenty of moonlight for an entire evening.

Declare the purpose of your crystal to fully program it. Announce an intention so your stone gains clarity about exactly what you want. If you say your expectation out loud, then you'll commit to a goal that your crystal will take seriously. You might tell your stone, "I call on your fiery properties to manifest a career I'm passionate about."^{[8]XResearch source}
- Channel or balance a chakra with a programmed crystal. For example, say, "With this crystal, I open my third eye chakra."
- Tap into an element with your stone. You might announce, "With this sacred tool, I ease my body with the grounding properties of the earth."

Carry your crystal for 7 days to allow it to bond with you. Keep the stone in a velvet pouch to protect it. Then, tuck it in your pocket or place it in a bag as you go about your routines. Do some type of cleansing ritual first, like washing your crystals with salt, water, moonlight, or sunlight (just keep in mind that the sun can sometimes bleach your crystals). Then, imprint your crystals with the essence of money—for instance, you could put the crystals on a pile of money (or something you associate money and abundance with) and make up your own little chant.
