This How.com.vn teaches you how to open a PSD file on iPhone or iPad. You can open and edit PSD files using Autodesk Sketchbook, or Photopea Online Editor. You can also open PSD files saved to the Creative Cloud sync folder in Photoshop Mix. However, Photoshop Mix cannot open all layers at once, and it doesn't have the same tools as the desktop version of Photoshop.

Using Autodesk Sketchpad

   . The App Store is has a blue icon with a white capital "A". You can open the App Store by tapping it on your homescreen.

   Tap Search. The Search tab is the tab is the icon in the lower-right corner. It has an icon that resembles a magnifying glass. This opens a page with a search bar.

   Type Sketchpad in the search bar. The search bar is the grey bar in the middle of the screen. This displays a list of search results that match your search text.

   Tap Sketchbook. When you see Sketchbook appear in the list of search result, tap it. This displays Sketchbook and similar apps in the App Store.

   Tap GET next to Autodesk Sketchbook. Autodesk Sketchbook has an orange icon with a pencil tip.

   Open Autodesk Sketchbook. To open Autodesk Sketchbook, tap the app's icon on your homescreen, or tap OPEN next to the app in the App Store when it is finished downloading and installing.

   Tap +. The Plus (+) button is at the bottom of the screen. This displays a pop-up menu at the bottom of the screen for opening a new sketch.

    Tap the location the PSD file is saved to. If the file is saved to your iPhone or iPad storage, tap On my iPhone/iPad. If it is saved to your iCloud, tap iCloud Drive. If the file is saved to a different cloud-based storage service, tap that location.

    • If the cloud-based drive the PSD file is saved to is not displaying in the Locations menu, make sure you have the cloud-based service app downloaded and that you are signed in to the app. Then tap Edit above the Locations menu, and tap the toggle switch next to the cloud-based service you want to display in the Locations menu.

    Navigate to the PSD file. If the PSD file is saved to a specific folder, tap that folder to view the folder's contents. Otherwise, scroll up and down to view all files in your storage.

    Tap the PSD file. PSD files are displayed as a small thumbnail image with the file name at the bottom of it. PSD files don't look any different from other images. Tapping a PSD file opens the file in Autodesk Sketchbook. Use the tools on the left to edit the PSD file. Use the bar on the right to select different layers. For best results.

    • PSD files may not look the same in Autodesk Sketchbook as they do in Photoshop. Not all layer adjustments will be applied. Double tap a layer to view the layer options. Tap HSL Adjustment or Color Balance to make changes to individual layers.
    • For best results, use a stylus or Apple Pencil when working in Autodesk Sketchbook.
    • To export an Autodesk Sketch as a PSD file, tap the icon with three dots and three lines on the left side of the bar at the top. Tap Gallery and tap Save Current Sketch. Tap the rectangle icon with three lines in the lower-right corner and tap Export PSD.

Using Photopea Online Editor

   Go to https://www.photopea.com/ in a web browser. You can use any web browser installed on your iPhone or iPad. Safari is the default web browser on iPhone or iPad. It's the app that has an icon that resembles a blue compass.

   • The first time you go to Photopea, a large black information screen displays. Tap the X button in the upper-right corner to exit out of the display screen.

   Tap File. It's in the upper-left corner of the Photopea web app. This displays the File menu.

   Tap Open. It's the second option in the Photopea File menu. This displays a file menu.

   Tap Browse. It's the third option in the file menu. This displays your most recently used files on your iPhone or iPad.

   Tap Browse. It's the second tab at the bottom of the screen. This displays the Locations menu to the left. This allows you to browse for files on your iPhone or iPad.

   Tap the location the PSD file is saved to. If the file is saved to your iPhone or iPad storage, tap On my iPhone/iPad in the Locations menu. If it is saved to your iCloud, tap iCloud Drive in the Locations menu. If it is saved to another drive, such as Google Drive, or Dropbox, tap that location in the Locations menu.

   • If the Cloud drive the file is saved to is not displaying in the Locations menu, open the App Store and make sure the Cloud app is installed and you are signed in to it. Then tap Edit above the Locations menu. Then tap the toggle switch next to the Cloud-based service.

   Navigate to the PSD file. If the PSD file is saved to a specific folder within the drive, click on that folder to display the contents of that folder. Otherwise, scroll up and down to view all the files in the storage or drive.

   Tap the PSD file. This opens the PSD file in Photopea. Photopea has similar functions to Photoshop. The tool bar is on the left. The Layers are on the right. The Menu bar is at the top.

   • Some PSD files may look different in Photopea than they do in Photoshop.

Using Photoshop Mix

   Save the PSD to your Creative Cloud sync folder. In order to open PSD or other Creative Cloud files on Adobe mobile apps, you must save them to your Creative Cloud sync folder on your desktop computer. There are three ways to save PSD files to the Creative Cloud sync folder. They are as follows:

   • Open the file in Photoshop on your desktop computer. Click File, and then click Save As. Navigate to the Creative Cloud sync folder and click Save.
   • Go to https://assets.adobe.com/ in a web browser and log in to Adobe Creative Cloud and sign in or sign up for Creative Cloud. Click Files in the left column. Click the "Upload Files" icon in the upper-right corner. It's the icon that has an arrow pointing up to a cloud. Navigate to a PSD file and click on it. Then click Open.
   • Go to https://assets.adobe.com/ in a web browser and log in to Adobe Creative Cloud and sign in or sign up for Creative Cloud. Click Files in the left column. Drag and drop a PSD file from your desktop computer to the list of files.

You can use your finger to draw a circle around the area you want to work with, or you can view a list of each individual layer. Tap View & Search Layers to view a list of each layer. This displays a list of all the layers of the PSD file in image format at the bottom of the screen.

    Tap the bottom layer of the PSD file. It's usually the last layer in the list of layers at the bottom of the screen. This starts a new composition based on that layer.

    Tap Creative Cloud and navigate to the PSD file. To add the rest of the Photoshop layers, you need to extract them from the PSD file. Navigate to the same PSD file in your Creative Cloud sync folder and tap it. This displays the full PSD file image with the file name at the top.

    Extract all remaining layers. Use the steps above to extract all remaining layers in the PSD image. The layers are listed from top layer first and the bottom layer last in the "View & Search Layers" menu. Extracting the layers from bottom to top while import them into Photoshop Mix in the proper order. You may need to use your finger to drag a layer to the proper location in the composition.

    • You may get a message that asks if you want to resize the canvas because the image is too large. Tap Cancel if you get this message.
