Download Article
Download a CAD application. Autodesk’s Fusion 360 is one of the widely used CAD programs you can download to open IPT files. Open a web browser on your computer, type in “www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360/overview/” on the address bar at the top (without the quotation marks), and hit Enter on your keyboard. You will be directed to the Autodesk Fusion 360 website.- Click on the “Download” button to start downloading the program installer to your computer.

Open IPT files. Navigate through your folders to where an IPT file is located. Once you’ve found an IPT file, you’ll notice that the IPT file icon has been changed to something related to Fusion 360. Double-click on the file, and it should open on the Autodesk Fusion 360 window.
