Steps
Rearranging the Order of Tasks
- Open Gmail in your internet browser. Type mail.google.com into the address bar, and press ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.
- If you're not automatically logged in, sign in with your email or phone, and your password.
- Click the Google Tasks icon on the right sidebar. The Tasks icon looks like a blue circle with a yellow dot and a white diagonal line. You can find it below your profile picture near the top-right corner.
- This will open the Tasks app in a new panel on the right-hand side.
- If your Gmail isn't updated to the latest layout, you may not be able to find the Tasks icon on the sidebar. To update, click the icon on the top-right, and select Try the new Gmail.
- Click and hold the task you want to move. It will lift up from the list.
- Drag the task to its new location on the list. You can move a task up or down on your current list, and change the order of all the tasks here.Advertisement
