How to Make Geometric Art

Geometric art is a great way to make an aesthetic art piece, and you can do it no matter how much experience you have! You can make geometric art using Photoshop and Illustrator, or drawing, painting, or sculpting! Use precise measurements to keep your designs uniform and polished. Be sure to add vibrant color to your artwork for an extra flourish.

Find an image or shape online, or take a photo that you want to create a geometric design from. Opt for an image that has distinct, solid-edged features that contrast softer lines. For instance, use a profile picture of a friend whose glasses, nose, and shirt collar provide solid lines in contrast to the softness of their face.

Upload and edit the image in Photoshop. Create a new document in Photoshop to streamline the image you've selected before using it as a base for your geometric art. Crop the picture as needed and remove any distracting or unnecessary details of the image, such as weeds growing in front of a parked bicycle.
