Attend an LGBTQ organization, sports team, or meet-up. You'd like to be a part of a group of queer people that have similar interests. Perhaps it's a sport, singing, or video games. There are a few websites that list specialized LGBTQ meet-ups, but honestly, simply Google your hobby, city, and the word "gay" and see what comes up.
Start something. Something should be started. Perhaps you enjoy birdwatching, motocross, fiber arts, or molecular gastronomy and would like to share your passion with other LGBTQ folks? Why don't you try forming a group? Post notices in general birding, biking, and crocheting areas to let folks know you'd like to enjoy your pastime with gay company.
Try forums and chat rooms. Assume you can't discover any other LGBTQ folks in your community who share your interests. Join a service or volunteer group for LGBTQ people. Consider subjects that you're enthusiastic about and look for LGBTQ-specific groups in your area. Try searching for "LGBTQ volunteer opportunities near me" or something similar.
