This How.com.vn teaches you how to check your Android's mobile data usage statistics, and find out the amount of mobile data used in any billing cycle. Your Android logs all your mobile data usage, and shows the data used by each of your apps. You can easily view your usage details in your Settings menu.
Steps
Open theSettings app on your Android. Find and tap the Settings app on your Apps menu, or slide down the notification bar from the top and tap the
gear icon on the quick menu.
- Most Android phones and tablets have their data usage options in Settings. On some models, you may also find your connection and data statistics in the Security app.
Tap Connections in Settings. You can find this option at the top of the Settings menu.- You can find this option on most up-to-date Androids, including Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets.
- All the categories, headings, sections and exact button names may differ in various Androids by different manufacturers.
- If you don't have this option on your Android, you may have an option or heading such as Wireless & Networks or Network & internet, and find your data usage here.
- You may also find a More option in the data section of your Settings, and find Data usage or Mobile data here.
Tap Data usage on the Connections menu. This will show your total data usage in your current or latest billing cycle on a new page.- You may find that this step is not required on your phone or tablet. Some Android manufacturers such as HTC and LG may automatically display your mobile data usage on this page.
- On some Androids, including older software releases, you may be able to select MORE on the top right, or use the tabs at the top of the page to switch between your carrier's mobile data usage, Wi-Fi wireless data usage, and minutes.
Tap Mobile data usage on the "DATA USAGE" page. You can find this option towards the bottom of the "USAGE" section on this page.- Depending on your Android's model, make, and software version, you may just see your data usage statistics on this page, without having to select "Mobile data usage" again.
Check your mobile data usage graph. You will find a date-stamped graph of your mobile data here.- If you want to check your usage for a different time period, tap the date on the top left, and select a different date or Change cycle.
Scroll down and check each app's individual data usage. On most Androids, you'll find a list of all your apps here, and how much each app has used data in the selected time period.
Tap an app to see its data usage details. This will open the app's data usage details on a new page. You can check the selected app's individual data usage stats here.- You can change the time period on the top left of the page.
- The Total line shows the total amount of data used by this app in the selected time period.
- The Foreground line shows the data used while actively using the app on your phone or tablet.
- The Background line shows the data used by this app when it's running in the background.
