   Open iLovePDF.com in your internet browser. Type www.ilovepdf.com into the address bar, and hit ↵ Enter or ⏎ Return on your keyboard.

   Select Watermark. You can find it near the bottom-left corner of the iLovePDF home page.

   Click the red Select PDF file button. This will allow you to select and upload your PDF file.

   Upload the PDF you want to edit. Select your PDF file in the file explorer window, and click Open to upload it.

   Select a watermark type. Next to "Watermark type," you can select Text to create a text watermark, or Image to upload an image file.

   • If you select Text, you can type in your watermark's text, and select a font, size, and color.
   • If you select Image, click Select image, and upload the image file you want to use as your watermark.

   Select a position for your watermark. You can select Middle, Bottom, Top, or Mosaic here.

   • Optionally, you can also change the transparency level, layering, and rotation of your watermark before creating your watermarked document.

   Click ADD WATERMARK. This is a black button at the bottom of the page. It will create a watermarked version of your PDF document.

   Click Download PDF with watermark. It’s the red button in the middle of the page.

   • If the download doesn't start automatically, this will download your PDF document with the watermark added.

Using Adobe Acrobat

   Open your PDF in Adobe Acrobat. Right-click the PDF file, hover over Open with, and select Adobe Acrobat on the list.

   • If Acrobat is your default PDF reader, you can just double-click the file to open it.

   Type in your watermark text into the text box. For example, you can type your company's name or a legal disclaimer here.

   • If you want to add an image watermark, select the File option, and click Browse to select the image you want to use.

   Customize your watermark's properties (optional). You can use the options in the Watermark window to adjust the placement, size, font, and other properties of your watermark.

   • You’ll see a preview on the right showing what your document will look like.
