Doing a Maintenance Check
Open your Galaxy's Settings app. Tap the wrench or gear icon on your Apps menu, or swipe down the notifications bar from the top, and tap.
Tap Device maintenance in Settings. When you tap this option, your phone will automatically check for cached data and other unnecessary files you can easily clean up.
Tap the FIX NOW button. This will delete all the unnecessary files hogging up your storage and memory.
Tap the Storage icon. You can find this button at the bottom of your screen.
Select the type of files you want to delete. You can delete unused documents, apps, or media files to open up free storage space.
Select the files you want to delete. Tap the radio button next to the files you want to delete. A blue checkmark will appear next to selected files.
Tap DELETE. It's in the upper-right corner of your screen. This will delete all the selected files, and open up some free space on your Galaxy.Advertisement
Turning On Data Saver
Open your Galaxy's Settings app. Tap the wrench or gear icon on your Apps menu, or swipe down the notifications bar from the top, and tap.
Tap Connections. It's the first option at the top of the Settings menu.
Tap Data usage in Connections.

Slide the Data saver switch to. When this feature is enabled, your Galaxy will automatically compress all the web pages you browse online, use less data, and enable faster browsing.

Using Data Saver in Chrome
Open Chrome on your Galaxy. Find and tap theicon on your Apps menu to open the browser.
Tap the ⋮ on the top-right. This will open a menu panel on the right-hand side.
Scroll down and tap Settings. This will open your browser settings on a new page.
Tap Data Saver. You can find it under the "Advanced" heading.
Slide the Data saver switch to. This will enable Chrome's own data saver, and automatically compress all web pages while browsing. This will use less mobile data, and enable faster browsing in Chrome.Advertisement
