How to Get Level 99 in Every Skill on RuneScape (F2P)

So you want to create your main account, and you don't know where to start? Well, what can you do about it? Read this page to find out!

Method 1

Woodcutting

Why should you master woodcutting? It is a basic skill, but it is essential. You need logs to light up fire, and you need fire to cook food. If your woodcutting is very high, you can cut down trees and make money!

When your woodcutting level reaches 30, start cutting willows, store the logs into the bank, and sell them all at once in the G.E. In about 260-270 hours, you should be able to get 99 woodcutting.

Firemaking

Make a fire and add logs to fire using the add to fire right click option on fire after clicking the log, until the desired level.

They are quite expensive, but the first few levels go by fast
Getting level 30 won't take long.
They are extremely cheap and very fast XP for those levels.
They are also extremely cheap and up to 160,000 XP.
You will need about 20 mil to get 99 firemaking with yew. If you cannot afford 99 firemaking with yews, burning maple all the way to 99 works too. 99 firemaking should take only 80 hours with maple or 50 hours with yew.

Fishing

Why should you master fishing? It is the most basic skill to get raw stuff so that you can cook it. If you want to make money with a high fishing level, you will need a lot of time and patience.

Ask Father Areck for a cage, or take a free sample at the fish shop.Keep fishing it and then drop it. (Unless you want to cook it. If so, read on.)
You should get 99 in around 250 hours

Cooking

Why should you master cooking? You will need to cook food to heal hp (or to sell for money). Certain things need a range to cook (e.g. cakes). With a range, you will burn stuff less often, which is the good news. You can find ranges in Lumbridge Castle, Varrock, and scattered everywhere in the Runescape world. When you are done fishing, cook it for XP. You should know when to step up and fish and cook for better foods.

Also, you don't have to fish to cook. You can buy it from the G.E. (not recommended). I don't remember all the fish, but you can do it yourself.
Keep in mind that you will burn some, so drop the burnt ones, and keep fishing for swordfish. THIS IS NOT RECOMMENDED. It takes time, but you should get 99 cooking in about 90 hours (if your cooking level is already 45). The Lumbridge Castle is the best one, and Al Kharid is slightly farther, but you don't have to climb any stairs (the range in Al Kharid is within sight of the bank). The lumbridge range makes you burn food less than other ranges.
When your cooking level gets into the fifties you can no longer burn trout which is handy because the cost of raw/ cooked trout is almost the same, so by cooking large amounts of them (for 70xp each) you can get your level up for virtually no money (which is helpful for F2P Runescapers but if money isn't a problem then by all means get better fish).
Cook lobsters until level 99, OR cook either Trout, Salmon or Tuna, depending on your liking. Note: At level 84+ cooking, all those fish mentioned above WILL NOT BURN.

Method 5

Ranged

Why should you master ranged? It is good to attack things from a distance since your HP's XP will gain faster than a warrior. Also, with a ranged level of 40, you get to wear cool armor! Ranging is boring, so do other stuff once in a while.

The sling has unlimited ammo, but it is feeble. Alternatively, you can get a free short bow & 30 bronze arrows from the ranging shop in Varrock. Start ranging chickens, because they never hit you and collect feathers for money. Continue this until 20 ranged.
Now go into the Edgeville dungeon and train on hill giants from safe spots until 40 ranged and then train on flesh crawlers or continue on hill giants. Note:Hill giants drop big bones which are useful for prayer XP and money.
This can get boring so take breaks
Train there until 80 ranged and go into the wilderness volcano to fight greater demons, there is a bank near to put your drops in, greater demons Do this until 99 range which should take 130-140 hours.

Prayer

Why should you master prayer? When you are fighting, it is good to use prayer to help boost your attack, strength, defense, and other stats. If your prayer level is 43, you can do the protect from magic, missiles (arrows), and melee, which are very effective. If your prayer level is 70, you can bless someone else's gravestone so that it will last for a long time. Prayer takes a long time, however. Every big bone gives you 15 experience

Bury big bones until 99 prayer. Using the strong arm burial animation will speed up your prayer training greatly. 99 prayer should take about 90 hours.
- Note: If you are trying to get 99 ranged and prayer then train on either moss giants in crandor or ice giants in the dungeon south of Port Sarim. Range them from the handful of safe spots and then take their bones. This will save you a LOT of money.

Magic

Why should you master magic? Just like ranged, it is good to attack people from a distance. Also, if you are fighting a warrior because magic deal a lot more damage to warrior and there is an obstacle between, it actually puts him at a disadvantage. Armor can make the spells you cast even MORE effective!

This has been proven to be the fastest in F2P. This spell requires a fairly large amount of nature runes to reach 99. It is recommended that you use a Fire staff. Make sure you are super-heating either iron or gold as they are the fastest XP. This should take about 80-90 hours to reach 99.

Melee

Why should you master melee? It is a good idea to train combat, especially if you want something you really want, but will need a high combat level to take it (e.g. rune armor will need 40 defense; rune spike shield and berserker shield will need 45 defense). Also, there are monsters that drop large amounts of valuable items. If you have a high enough combat level, you can pick up the items the NPC dropped!

At level 50, kill deadly red spiders all the way to 99, make sure you have at least a rune weapon by now and bring plenty of food. 99 should take around 120-130 hours.

Crafting

Why should you master crafting? Players who like the amulet of power, strength, and accuracy that other players have made. Players love to adorn their characters with necklaces and amulets so that a master jewelry maker can be a very wealthy player. Crafting is also good if you are a low-level range character since you can use cowhides from cows to make ranged armor.

If you want to buy/mine silver ores, it's ok. You get 14 XP per ore turned into bar. (52.5 crafting experience per tiara) So that means a full inv of silver bars (if tiara mould is on tool belt) will be 1470 XP. You should get 99 crafting in around 140-150 hours.

This skill is considered one of the most challenging skills to achieve 99 in. It definitely requires a lot of time, and if buying bars, it requires a lot of money as well. A helpful tip to ease some of your boredom would be to either chat with other people or mine some of the ores. Hope this guide helps.

1-18: Bronze bars: Start out by buying equal amounts of tin and copper and smelt them into bronze bars. Do this until level 18.

18-33: Bronze Platebodies: With the bronze bars that you made in the previous step use them to make bronze plate bodies. This is the fastest way to get smithing XP here, but you are not limited to making these. Platebodies are just the best way to gain smithing levels. You will probably have to buy or smelt more bronze bars to get to make enough bronze plate bodies to get to level 33.

33-48: Iron Platebodies: It is recommended you mine and smelt some of your iron bars here as the success rate of smelting iron bars hovers around 70-80%, and doing so should save you some money. Again, making plate bodies is the fastest way to gain XP/levels.

48-68: Steel Platebodies: Things will start not to get but feel a lot slower here, and if you are one of those people who do not like to spend a lot of money, I would highly suggest either continuing making iron plate bodies, as iron bars cost roughly 1/3 of steel bars, or mining and smelting the ores.

68-88: Mithril Platebodies: These are faster xp that steel platebodies, but also cost a lot more. You will need hundreds of million to achieve 88 smithing.

88-99: Adamant Platebodies: These are the absolute fastest way to train smithing in f2p. You should get 99 in around 40-50 hours.

Alternative method: The artisan workshop is very afk, but a slower method to train smithing at the mid levels. If you want to afk, this is a good option.

If you are banned (temporary), you are not allowed to play on that account for a particular time. To find out when it will be unbanned, simply try to log on to the banned account and it will say that it is banned, and how many days before it will be unbanned. If you get banned (permanent), then that means you are not allowed to play on that account anymore. You can still check out the high scores and see if you have any skill on there, but you will need to create a new account unless you want to quit.

In conclusion, as your levels gets higher and higher, you might want to keep kind and stay out of 'crime' so your efforts won't be wasted by being banned or any other dangerous motions (such as being hacked).

If you get muted, you are not able to talk freely, but you are still able to use the quick chat. P-mods have the ability to mute people if they are getting carried away or offending another person. The more severe the situation is, the longer you will get muted. If this is a permanent mute, you are free to create another account and start the cycle over again, but you can still play on it. Just because an account is muted doesn't mean it is banned.
