How to Find RAM on a Chromebook

If you're planning on installing a program with specific system requirements on your Chromebook, or if you're just curious as to your system specs, you may need to check your Chromebook's RAM. This How.com.vn will teach you how to find how much RAM is installed in your Chromebook.

Steps

  1. How.com.vn English: Step 1 Open Google Chrome icon.
    It's a red, green and yellow circle with a blue dot in the center. Double-click on Chrome to open it up.

    Type chrome://system into the address bar at the top of the screen and press Enter. You will be taken to a page of system specifications.

    Scroll through the System Information menu until you find meminfo. Click Expand... to the right of meminfo to open the menu.
  4. How.com.vn English: Step 4 Locate Mem Total to find your RAM.
    Look for the first line in the meminfo menu; it will say "MemTotal". To the right of MemTotal is your RAM, which will be listed in kilobytes.

    Tip: Most Chromebooks released after July 2016 have 4GB of RAM.
