How to Filter Your Books on the Kindle App for iPhone or iPad

Do you have a lot of books in your Kindle app? Do you have trouble finding what you're looking for? If you don't like all of your books being shown in your Kindle library on your iPhone or iPad, it might be time to filter them. This How.com.vn will show you how to easily implement filters to help manage your library.

Steps

  1. 1
Open Kindle from your iOS device. The Kindle icon looks like a shadow of a person sitting on a hill reading a book with a starlit sky.
    • If you haven't done so already, log into the app. You will only have one choice of login type: the Amazon account that your books are tied to.
  2. 2
Turn on the filter. Tap the

button just below the bell notifications icon near the top left corner. It will be in the section directly above your books.

  3. 3
Tap the filter according to how you'd like the books to be filtered.
    • You can choose between Read and Unread.
    • You can also choose between books that have Audible editions with them; Audible, and those that are text (or both text and audio); Books.
    • Depending on your library, you may also have the option to filter by Docs and Samples.
  4. 4
Close the filter dialog box. Once you have selected how you would like to filter your books you can click on the

    button to close the menu.
  5. 5
Refresh and re-sync your books if necessary. You can pull down the list of books from the top, or go to your list of options in your app (tap More in bottom right corner) then tap Sync (underneath Audible Companions).
  6. 6
Filter your books by those you've already downloaded to your device. You will see two tabs to the right of the Filter button. Tap the centered Downloaded button to the right of the All tab if you'd prefer to only see books that you have already downloaded.
  7. 7
Remove the filter. If you'd like to remove your choice of filter, you can tap the x button just below the sort button towards the top right side of the screen.

      Tips

      • Amazon Kindle presently is a small, but rather powerful feature. The app is not feature-heavy, but filtering can be useful.
      • Make sure to go through and mark books you've read as read, while leaving books you haven't read in the list.
