How to Export Your List of Shelved Books from Goodreads

Sometimes it can be hard to discern a series of books in your Goodreads shelved books list. A downloadable list may help, and Goodreads has you covered. With a few clicks, you can export and download this list so you can use this data offline, as you wish.

Click "My Books" at the top of Goodreads.

Click "Import and export."

    Once you click the button, you'll see a message that says "We are currently generating your export."
    • For large accounts with hundreds to thousands of books, this may take several minutes, but for those that have fewer (about 50-75 shelved books), this should take just a few seconds.

Click the link to download your exported library.

    Click the link to download a CSV file that contains your entire library.
    • If the download doesn't start automatically, click Save or Download to start it now.

View your shelved books.

    Once the download is complete, you can open your exported library in any program that supports CSV files, including Microsoft Office, Google Sheets, or Numbers for macOS.
    • The sheet contains titles, authors, Goodreads book ID, ISBN, publisher, publication year, your ratings, average ratings, and much more.
