Steps
- Open the File Manager app on your Android. Find and tap the yellow-and-white folder icon on your Apps menu to open File Manager.
- On some versions of Android, this app might be called My Files or File Browser.
- If you don't have a native file management app, you can download and install a third-party application from the Play Store.
- Tap the ☰ icon on the top-left. Your menu panel will slide in from the left-hand side.Advertisement
- Find and tap your device's name on the menu. Your Android's name is listed below the Downloads option. It will open a list of all your files and folders.
- If you want to delete a file on your SD card, tap the SD card button below your device's name.
- Tap a folder to view its contents. Tapping a folder will show you all the files and other folders in the selected folder.
- Tap and hold the file you want to delete. This will highlight the selected file, and put a green checkmark next to it.
- If you want to delete multiple files at once, tap all the files you want to select here.
