Remember that a real musician is a person who has a love for music and a craft/talent for playing it. A real musician is not a dude in tight pants able to strut around on stage, squawking his head off into a microphone, while putting down other musicians or other types of music. Music is an art and art should be widely appreciated for what it is, despite different aesthetic preferences. A real musician should know this and respect this.

Learn to recognize when they are actually in it for the music or just another few nights a month out with the guys disguised as "band practice."
