How to Create a Movie on Google Photos on iPhone or iPad

This How.com.vn teaches you how to create a movie in the Google Photos app for iPhone and iPad. Google Photos allows you to assemble your photos and videos into a movie with titles and music.

Creating a New Movie

Open the Google Photos app. It's the app with the icon of a multicolored pinwheel.
- If you don't have the Google Photos app you can download it from the App Store and sign in with your Google account.
It's the icon that resembles a small speech bubble with a star in the center located at the bottom-left of the screen.
It's the green icon with the image of a movie clapboard.
Tap on any photos and videos you want to include in your movie. When they are selected, you'll see a blue checkmark appear in the top-left corner of the photo or video. You can add up to 50 items total.
It's in the top-right corner. This creates the movie project and auto-generates a sample to get your movie started.

Editing the Movie

Tap and drag the sliders for each photo or video to adjust the length it appears on screen. If you want to change how long a picture or video appears in your movie, you can drag the sliders for each photo or video.
- Photos will only have one slider to adjust how long the photo will be on screen, while videos will have two sliders; one to adjust when the movie clip starts and another to mark when the video clip will end.

Tap and hold a photo or video to rearrange its order. Tap on a photo or video's thumbnail image to "pick it up" and drag it a new position.
- Photos and videos at the top will appear in the movie first and go down the list in descending order.

Add or delete photos or videos. You can add photos by tapping the blue "＋" button at the bottom of the page. For each photo or video on the list, you can tap ⋯ and then:
- Tap Insert clips to add another photo or video below the current item.
- Tap Duplicate to add another copy of the selected photo or video.
- Tap Remove to delete the photo or video from the movie.

Changing the Background Music

It's just below the video preview on the right.

Select a music source. Tap one of the following options to select music for your movie:
- Tap My Music to select music from your iPhone or iPad storage.
- Tap No Music if you don't want and background music.
- Tap Theme Music to select music that comes with the Google Photos app.
Tap a song to select it and hear a preview of the song.
It's the checkmark icon in the top-right corner. This applies your music selection to your movie.
It's in the top-right corner of the screen. This saves all the changes and edits to your movie and saves the finished movie to your Google Photos Library.
