Steps
Open Google Photos. It’s the multicolored pinwheel icon labeled “Photos” that’s typically in the app drawer. You may also find it on the home screen.
Tap ⁝. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.
Tap Movie.
Select images to include in your movie. Tapping an image adds a blue and white check mark to its top-right corner. This means the image is selected.- Movies can contain up to 50 images.
Tap Create. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.
Type a new name for your movie. The default name is “Untitled.” Tap it to start typing the movie’s new name.
Tap the effects icon to select a filter (optional). It’s the director’s board with two stars at the bottom-left corner of the screen. This opens a list of video filters you can add to your movie.- Swipe left across the effects list at the bottom of the screen to view all options.
- Tap an effect to see a preview.
- When you’ve made your selection, tap the check mark at the bottom-right corner of the movie.
Tap the music note icon to add music to the movie (optional). Select from one of the two menu options:- My music: Allows you to select a song from your phone or tablet.
- Theme music: Choose this option to select theme music from Google.
Tap the film icon to add or remove images (optional). It’s at the bottom-right corner of the screen. Choose this option if you want to make last-minute changes to your movie.- To add another image, tap the squares with a plus sign.
- To remove an image, select it, then tap the trash icon.
- Tap the check mark when you’re finished.
Tap ⁝. It’s at the top-right corner of the screen.
Tap Export video. This saves the changes you’ve made to the movie.- To share the movie with others, tap and select a sharing method.
