How to Create Your Own Eeveelution

Eevee is a popular Pokémon from the first generation, called the "Evolution Pokémon"[1] and known for being the base of several other Pokémon. Its evolutions, dubbed "Eeveelutions" by the Pokémon fan base,[2] are all different types. However, Eevee does not currently have an evolution for each of the 18 types and has no dual-type evolutions, so many fans have chosen to design their own Eeveelutions to fill in the gaps. This How.com.vn will help you create your own.

Part 1 of 3:

Coming Up with an Eeveelution

  1. How.com.vn English: Step 1 Draw inspiration from the existing Eeveelutions.
The existing Eeveelutions, which are Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon,[3] all have unique designs that are similar to Eevee in appearance but more developed design-wise. Consider looking at the existing Eeveelutions for inspiration for your own.
  2. How.com.vn English: Step 2 Choose a type.
Eevee currently has evolutions of the Fire, Electric, Water, Psychic, Dark, Grass, Ice, and Fairy types,[4] so you may want to choose one of the unused types. The types that don't yet have Eeveelutions are the Fighting, Flying, Poison, Ground, Rock, Bug, Dragon, Ghost, Steel, and Normal types (when not counting Eevee itself). However, if you wish to create an Eeveelution with an already used type, that's also fine - it's your design, and you can choose what you want it to be.
    • Another popular Eeveelution design is the concept of dual-type Eeveelutions. Currently, Eevee does not have any of these. These are Eeveelutions which have two types, such as a Water/Fire type. It can be fun to design dual-type Eeveelutions if you wish to combine types or base an Eeveelution off of a certain thing, such as steam for a Water/Fire type.

  3. How.com.vn English: Step 3 Think of features to include.
An Eeveelution will typically have two ears, four legs, and a tail, but ponder on other possible features to add to your design or ways to alter the basic design of Eevee. For instance, you may wish to add wings to a Flying type or antennae to a Bug type. Additionally, you can alter the basic design of Eevee, and you may choose to make a Ghost type without legs or a Fighting type without a tail, for example.
    • Some unique features seen in existing Eeveelutions are the fins of a Vaporeon[5] and the ribbon-like feelers of a Sylveon.[6]
  4. How.com.vn English: Step 4 Decide on a color scheme.
After choosing the type and features for your Eeveelution, consider possible color schemes. Color schemes may be influenced by the type, such as the association of Fire types with warm colors including red and orange or Water types being cooler colors like blue and white. You might also take inspiration from an object or element of nature, such as a dandelion, which may include some shades of green, yellow, and white.

Give it a name. If you wish to, name your Eeveelution. Use a prefix or a word that relates to the Eeveelution's design, type, or the object or element of nature it was based off for the beginning of the name. Consider using -eon for the end of the name, since the existing Eeveelutions all have names ending in -eon. However, if you have another name in mind, you can choose to deviate from this pattern and pick a different name instead.
    • For example, you might name a Flying type Eeveelution "Aveon", "Aereon", or "Zephyreon".

Drawing Your Design

  1. How.com.vn English: Step 1 Base the general shape off of Eevee.
As an evolution of Eevee, your Eeveelution should share some similarities with the Pokémon. Consider Eevee's appearance as you make your design, and tweak it as necessary to fit your ideas. You're welcome to change the design as much as you'd like, but try to keep it resembling Eevee to some degree so people can tell that it is an Eeveelution.
  2. How.com.vn English: Create Your Own Eeveelution Step 7.png
    2
Sketch out the design. Once you've finished the concept in your mind, feel free to sketch it out on paper or digitally. Drawing your Eeveelution can be a great way to express your idea and let you share it with others, bringing it to life.
  3. How.com.vn English: Create Your Own Eeveelution Step 8.png

Give extra attention to the details. After sketching your design, take time to add in all the small but important details. These may include the eyes, tail, and other unique features of your Eeveelution. Finish up your drawing and erase as needed.
  4. How.com.vn English: Create Your Own Eeveelution Step 9.png
    4
Color it in. Though not required, coloring in your Eeveelution lets you fully see the color scheme you selected and makes it stand out. Shade the drawing if you wish.

Fleshing It Out

  1. How.com.vn English: Step 1 Determine how Eevee evolves into your Eeveelution.
In the various Pokémon games, Eevee has evolved in a variety of different ways, including from evolutionary stones (Flareon, Jolteon, and Vaporeon), leveling it up at a certain time of day with high friendship (Espeon and Umbreon), leveling it up at a certain location (Leafeon and Glaceon), and leveling it up while it knows a certain move and has high happiness (Sylveon).[7]
    • You can choose one of these ways or create your own way, such as, for example, trading Eevee to another player or holding a certain object. Use your imagination to create a unique way of evolving Eevee into your Eeveelution.
  2. How.com.vn English: Step 2 Choose which moves your Eeveelution can use.
A move is an attack, skill, or technique that a Pokémon can use in battle.[8] Every Pokémon has its own set of moves that it can learn.[9] If you'd like, you can choose which moves your Eeveelution can learn or create your own moves. You can also choose your Eeveelution's ability.
    • If you wish to, you can even create a Z-Move for your Eeveelution. Z-Moves are exclusive to the Pokémon Sun and Moon games and are very powerful moves in which the trainer and their Pokémon use their full power and can only be used once per battle.[10] Though the existing Eeveelutions other than Eevee don't have their own Z-Moves, you can choose to create your own for your Eeveelution or make Z-Moves for the existing Eeveelutions.
  3. How.com.vn English: Step 3 Write out the base stats.
A Pokémon's statistics or stats are made up of elements that determine certain aspects of battle.[11] The stats of a Pokémon include Hit Points (HP), Attack, Defense, Special Attack (Sp. Atk), Special Defense (Sp. Def), and Speed.[12] If you wish, you can decide on the stats for your Eeveelution, which you can use in battle.
  4. How.com.vn English: Create Your Own Eeveelution Step 13.png
    4
Consider making a Mega Evolution. First introduced in Pokémon X and Y, Mega Evolutions are basically another “upgraded” form of a Pokémon.[13] The existing Eeveelutions don't have Mega Evolutions, but if you'd like, you can design a Mega Evolution for your Eeveelution or even design one for the existing Eeveelutions.
    • Additionally, you could create a Gigantamax form for your Eeveelution. Gigantamax is a type of Dynamax, a concept introduced in Pokémon Sword and Shield, where a Pokémon greatly increases in size and appearance.[14] None of the existing Eeveelutions other than Eevee have a Gigantamax form, but this shouldn't stop you from making one for your Eeveelution if you'd like to. You could also create Gigantamax forms for the existing Eeveelutions if you wish.
    • This step is completely optional, however, and you do not have to create a Mega Evolution or Gigantamax form for your Eeveelution if you don’t want to.
  5. How.com.vn English: Step 5 Create a fake...
Create a fake Pokémon card, if you wish. Some Pokémon fans enjoy having custom cards added to their decks to use. If you want, you can create a fake Pokémon card with your Eeveelution. Find a Pokémon card generator online where you can upload your Pokémon's name, stats, moves, and your drawing and make your card.

  • Question
Why does it have to have a Mega Evolution?
    How.com.vn English: Linnie
    Linnie
    Top Answerer
Your Eeveelution doesn't have to have a Mega Evolution; none of the existing Eeveelutions have Mega Evolutions either. It's your Pokemon, so make it how you wish.
  • Question
Is it possible to make a Dragon type and a Ghost type Eeveelution together? What could a good name be for this?
    How.com.vn English: Linnie
    Linnie
    Top Answerer
It is possible to create a dual-type Eeveelution such as Dragon/Ghost type, as it is your creation. Though Eevee currently has no dual-type Eeveelutions, this should not prevent you from making your own. Its name should reflect its design. Some potential names could be Phanteon, Phasmeon, Appareon, Spectreon, or any name relating to ghosts or dragons.
