   Tap Language and input. It's the first option on the General Management page.

   Tap Text-to-speech. You can find it under the "SPEECH" heading on the Language and Input menu.

   Select the text-to-speech engine you want to use. Here you can select Samsung's own text-to-speech engine, or Google's generic Android engine.

   Drag and adjust the Speech rate and Pitch sliders. You can find them below the text-to-speech engines.

   • Speech rate adjusts how fast or slow text-to-speech reads text. Slide it to the left for slow speech, or to the right for fast speech.
   • Pitch controls your voice frequency. Slide it to the left for a deeper voice, or to the right for a high-pitch voice.

   Open the Google Play Books app. Find and tap the

   

   icon on your Apps menu to open Play Books.

   • You can use text-to-speech in other reader apps too. Depending on the reader app you're using, the steps may differ.

   Tap the Library icon at the bottom. This will open your ebook library on a new page.

   Open the book you want to convert to speech. Find and tap the book to start reading it.

   • If the book is not currently downloaded to your Galaxy, tap on it to start downloading.

   Tap Vision. It's at the top of the Accessibility settings.

   Tap Select to speak. This option allows you to select any text on your screen, and hear it read aloud.

   . When this option is enabled, you can drag a box on your screen, and hear all the text in it read aloud.

   • The Select to Speak icon will appear on your screen. It looks like a speech bubble. You can drag and drop it anywhere on your screen.

   Open the text you want to convert to speech. This could be a note, document, or message.

   Tap the Select the Speak icon. It's the speech bubble button on your screen.

   • The button will turn blue when you tap on it.
